Freezing in a winter wonderland

16 degree weather. I don't miss it, or the snow, one single bit. I thought maybe I would--all that beautiful, fluffy white stuff! But I was wrong. Snow is cold and wet and sludgy. And I am here in Michigan, not the ski slopes of Colorado. I miss snowboarding, I'll give you that, but that's it.

It feels strange to be back here in Michigan again--it's been so long this time (the last time I was here was in May). But everything is exactly the same. I've really enjoyed seeing my old friends again, especially my dear Kate (who is the cutest pregnant gal ever!).

Philp and I had a nice safe drive up I-75 from Lake City to Detroit. We hung out with Katie in Atlanta (Ikea, Five Points, vegetarian pizza--I could've stayed longer) and stayed the night in Knoxville. It wasn't a bad drive, and I got some knitting accomplished on the two scarves that I'm working on.

A few updates to be had: I finished my first semester at Flagler. It went really well, and I think my grades turned out quite satisfactory. I have some fun classes scheduled for next semester and I'm very excited about Graphic Design. Also, my brother is moved back here at home, so I now have an empty living room. I'm hoping that I might be able to move into the B&B that I work at, but right now it's questionable.

Caleb is back in St. Augustine until Jan. 15th, so we'd been enjoying each others' company until I had to leave for Michigan. Also, I am now going to be attending 5 weddings between now and August:

1. Justin and Cindy (January)
2. Nina and David (April)
3. Jay and Kim (May)
4. Cameron and Shannon (June-ish)
5. Eb and Allison (July)

So I've been on the lookout for some fun dresses to wear to all these festivals of loooove. I've already got one, and darned if I don't look super cute in it! Oh, and no one else is allowed to get married until after September.

So that about wraps it up for now. I'm leaving on Friday for Pennsylvania and I'll be there until I fly back to Jax on the 30th.

Merry Christmas Everybody!
